Day 1: Old City — Charminar, Biryani & Bazaars
8:00 AM — Irani Chai at Nimrah Café
Start opposite Charminar with the city’s signature breakfast: Irani chai and Osmania biscuits. The morning light on Charminar from Nimrah’s terrace is the best photo you’ll take.

Climb to the second floor for panoramic views of the Old City. Early morning means fewer crowds. 30–45 minutes.

Walk directly from Charminar into the bangle bazaar. Lac bangles, wedding finery, perfume (attar), and traditional jewellery. Bargaining expected. Budget 1–1.5 hours of browsing.

11:00 AM — Pearl Shopping at Pathergatti
Walk 10 minutes to the pearl district. Hyderabad’s pearls range from affordable freshwater strands (₹500–2,000) to premium Basra pearls (₹10,000+). On-the-spot customisation available at many shops.

12:30 PM — Biryani Lunch
Option A: Bawarchi at RTC Cross Roads for the locals’ favourite (₹200–350).
Option B: Paradise in Secunderabad for the famous name (₹250–400).
2:30 PM — Salar Jung Museum
One of the world’s largest one-man collections. Mughal miniatures, European paintings, jade daggers, and the famous Veiled Rebecca sculpture. Air-conditioned — good for the afternoon heat. 1.5–2 hours.

5:00 PM — Qutb Shahi Tombs
Recently restored domed mausoleums in peaceful gardens. Beautiful in late afternoon light. 1 hour.

Shah Ghouse for late-night biryani and haleem (₹200–400) or Jewel of Nizam in Banjara Hills for refined Hyderabadi dining (₹800–1,200).

8:00 AM — Breakfast: Ram Ki Bandi or Govind Dosa
Early-morning dosa institutions. Ram Ki Bandi opens at 4 AM and sells out by 7 AM. Govind Dosa is more forgiving on timing. ₹40–120.
9:00 AM — Golconda Fort
Hyderabad’s most impressive monument. Test the famous acoustics at the entrance gate. Explore the royal apartments, water systems, and climb to the top for panoramic views. Budget 2–2.5 hours.

Basheerbagh institution. No-frills biryani and kebabs with locals. ₹180–300.
2:00 PM — Hussain Sagar & Tank Bund

3:30 PM — Banjara Hills / Jubilee Hills
The modern side of Hyderabad. Boutique shops, cafes, galleries. Stop at Roastery Coffee House or Autumn Leaf Café for a coffee break (₹200–350).
5:30 PM — Evening at Shilparamam
An arts and crafts village with artisan workshops, boutique stores, and cultural performances. Good for souvenirs. ₹20–50 entry. UPI accepted.
7:30 PM — Dinner
Farzi Café in Jubilee Hills for creative modern Indian (₹1,000–1,800) or Ohri’s for reliable Hyderabadi classics (₹500–1,000).
