Where to Eat in Pondicherry: French Bakeries, Tamil Food & Café Culture
Table of Contents
Pondicherry’s food scene is uniquely Franco-Tamil: croissants alongside dosas, cassoulet next to curry, and cafes that could be in the Marais but for the ceiling fans and the Tamil conversation at the next table. The French influence is genuine (not tourist kitsch), and the Tamil food is some of South India’s best.
