Where to Eat in Kochi: Kerala Cuisine, Seafood & Spice
Table of Contents
Kerala food is built on coconut, curry leaves, mustard seeds, and fresh seafood from the Arabian Sea. It’s lighter and more nuanced than North Indian food, with an emphasis on fresh ingredients, fish, and rice rather than heavy cream sauces and bread. Kochi is where this cuisine is best experienced — from the fishing net stalls to the spice-scented restaurants of Fort Kochi.
