Both tracks are excellent.<\/p>\n<h2>South Indian Classics<\/h2>\n<h3>The Legendary Dosa<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Vidyarthi Bhavan<\/strong> \u2014 Gandhi Bazaar, Basavanagudi. The most famous dosa in India, running since 1943. The masala dosa here is crispy, buttery, and stuffed with spiced potato. Expect to queue. \u20b970\u2013120. Cash only.<\/p>\n<p><strong>MTR (Mavalli Tiffin Rooms)<\/strong> \u2014 Lalbagh Road. Another institution, since 1924. The rava idli was invented here. Masala dosa, filter coffee, and a side of nostalgia. \u20b980\u2013150. UPI accepted.<\/p>\n<p><strong>CTR (Central Tiffin Room)<\/strong> \u2014 Malleshwaram. Competes with Vidyarthi Bhavan for best dosa bragging rights. The benne (butter) masala dosa is extraordinary. \u20b960\u2013100. Cash preferred.<\/p>\n<h3>Filter Coffee<\/h3>\n<p>Bangalore runs on filter coffee \u2014 strong, sweet, and served in a steel tumbler and davara (cup and saucer). \u20b920\u201340 at traditional restaurants. Indian Coffee House on MG Road is the old-school classic.
